ok i am going to be helping my friend hook up her subs and amp....the thing is she has the factory cd player....what is needed to hook the amp to it....her car is a 2002 saturn sc1

I would use a LOC directly behind the HU, then run the RCAs to the amp and subs. Shielded RCAs are worth the extra $10 to prevent any noise gain.
What size amplifier is she using, and we can recommend a power wire size.

its a small amp but not sure of how many watts it is...but i know its less than 300
