i can run my avionixx amp 1200,2 at 8 ohms right? and get hald the power it puts out at 4 ohms? or well this cause ill effects to the amp long term?

In bridged mode, this will be safe but you'll get 50% of the power the amp can produce at a 4 ohm load. You can also run 8 ohms per channel and be OK as well.

What sub(s) are you planning to use here for that 8 ohm load?

PS You can also get AIM online support to answer your questions on this older amp model. It appears that Avionixx has updated their amp lines and that model you have now, is not listed.

going to get a 15" Kv2 series sub to un 4+4 ohm and us half my avionixx amps power to run it. since iuts cheap and a nice sub and i can get my Av2 series sub whwen they release them

hehe ya i know. doesnt help when i'm tired and have a sticky keyboard either. and i know your not picking on me. i well start at least glancing them over. as i can see how that would be confusing.

Sticky keyboard? That must be annoying. Found a new keyboard and mouse at Big Lots/Odd Lots for ~$10.00 for the set. They even had wireless sets for well under $40.00 as I recall. Check it out if you need PS/2 style or wireless.

bought a logitec key board and mouse. wireless about a week ago it should arive any day hehe.
