Stereo Installation 2004 Silverado

I bought a Neo Car Jukebox, and my question is how do I get the enclosure surrounding the stereo off (without breaking it). If someone could give me some information on any auxillary power connections for the fuse box that would be greatly appreciated as well. I would just like a little advice on what I should do... I haven't ever installed a stereo in a vehicle beyond 1987... And I really don't want to cut anything up to fit something...

"enclosure surrounding the stereo off (without breaking it)."

do you mean the metal case? You should not have to open that....

What I mean by enclosure is the front panel with the AC ducts and all of that stuff... the cover I guess.. I do'nt know what to call it. I read a little bit at another website about a 2000 silverado, and it said to pry it firmly... I'm not sure if they dashes are the same, they a slightly different from the picture... and I don't want to pry it and break it off, then not be able to get it back on... lol

Anyway, I hope that clarifies my query slightly. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

AC vents I mean... not the ducts... Sorry guys it's late and I'm tired, pardon my gramatical and spelling errors...

Thanks again

if you mean the moulding around the stereo area then it should give to light prying if it does not move then stop but in both my ford ranger and my dads 98 chevy it just prys out.

it is correct. Just grab the top of the dash above the radio and pull gently. work your way around, you may need to lower the steering wheel first. After that the radio is held in with 2 - 7mm(9/32") screws holding the deck in.
