Running an Amp off a factory head

i read the article but all it said was what you can, a fat lot of help that is. im running a chrystler head unit.

help!?

what exactly are you needing help with? wring to the amp? what?

Yes, in most cases you can add an amp (sub) to an existing factory HU. There is a device called a Line Out Converter (LOC) that will change speaker level ouputs to RCA line level inputs for an amp.

Depending on your setup, some Dodge/Chrysler products use Infinity Sound systems which already have amps built into the car. Here, you can tap off the rear deck speakers, (splicing into the stock wires) and install a variable output LOC. David Navone makes some of the very best as they are noise isolating and have a variable output control knob as well.

the article I wrote was to give general knowledge as to what you may or may not be able to do. If you are wanting specifics to your vehicle we can help there..

We need more info however such as if the car has a premium infinity head unit, what kind of amp you are running and what speakers......
