ok kittle or anyone else who is good at box design here is what i want to do. i well have 3 alpine type R 10" subs with 300watts to each sub. and i want them to share the chamber they are in and have it be a slot port. obviously i just make the chamber 3x recomended ported volume. but do i make the port 3x the port size? that last part is what gets me that does not seem right.

lol i cant even find a port4ed box size on the alpine site so if anyone knows the recomended size for a ported box for an alpine type r 10" sub i could use that info too thanks alot,.

You sure you want to port them? The added space requirements for a port design will add at least 30% more to box size.
I checked the Owners manual specs and yep... no recommended vent enclosure specs at all. Try writing to Alpine Technical and see what sort of response you get.

ya i think i have gone against porting them if i use this set up i well go sealed. looked into it found some alpine type r ported box designs and they where all pretty large for a single sub like 1.3-1.6cu ft per sub.
