looking for advice on which speakers to get:Infinity Kappa 63.5i or Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X178 or Kenwood eXcelon KFC-Xr701 these are 6.75in and i will get the matching 5.25 for my rear door. if anyone can give me their experiences with these speakers, brand, or model, that would be great.brbrThanksbrbrdave

i have never used or heard the kenwoods but they look like a decent speaker i have heard the kappas in a car and they are nice. also alpine type s and type r speakers are nice as well.

Really, it's one of those calls where you have to determine what sounds best to you. The Kappas are pretty well favored here in that price range and power handling ability. The eXcelon series is not a bad speaker either. Just different sound characteristics.
If you amp your speakers, they will definitely sound fuller and louder than if only using HU amps. Take that into consideration as you demo them at an audio salon.
