Hello I have a lot of spare car audio parts lying around the garage. And I find that no matter what, a normal alarm clock will not wake me up, So I want to take and frankenstine an alarm clock into my car audio equipment. I know I will need an rf (or fm?) modulater, and a power supply. The problem that arises is, How do i make the amp turn on when the alarm wants it to. Is it possible to use speaker wires as the remote? being that on an alarm, sound only comes through when told to by the alarm clock? or do i need to find the source power or signal that turns the alarm on, and if so any ideas on how to do that without being shocked to death IDEA FROWN ?? Thanks in advance. Turken Replies (1) Noid on 04/22/2004 14:33:45 You couldn't just buy an extra loud alarm... one with the old fashion bells on the top. My boss bought me one of them after coming in to work late too often. I had to wrap tissue around the bells to muffle the sound. Otherwise good luck on your project.
