how is the pwr wire ran? Sometimes if you have it directly next to the computer you can run into problems. Did you scrape the paint under the seat belt, or do you just have bare copper wire ran around the bolt?

the pwr wire does run past the computer and the ground is bare copper. i need to upgrade my power supply should i go w\ a yellow top or red, then also relocate the power wire.

Your computer codes need to be cleared and retested again after you reground the amps. Clearing codes in the ECM (Engine Control Module) are easy to do. Just disconnect the Neg terminal on the battery for a minute, reinstall the wire and codes are cleared and ECM resets to normal.

I did not see any info on what your ECM flagged? There are times when the system voltage may drop below a given threshold setting in the compute, (due to amps pulling high power) which then throws a flag into the computer memory. Need to find out what flags are now locked into memory of the ECM, clear them and retest at a later date.

If the codes remain cleared, good to go. If they return, you need to figure out what part of the monitored systems are throwing codes and why.

PS Reground the amps, but use a connector that fits that bolt. Make sure the bolt is bare metal for a solid ground. Can use a flat washer and solder the ground wire to the washer... but you'll need a pretty high wattage soldering gun to make this work.
