JBL Powervalve BP- 300.1 RMS power = 150Wx1 @ 4 ohms Bridged RMS power= 300Wx1 @ 2 ohms.Would this work with the 12" Pioneer 500 Watts max subs model # TSW34C that I've mentioned? Or is the US Acoustics USB-600D better? What about a Profile California series 200Wx 1 (model #CA400M) that puts out 320 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms. Will this mess the subs all up or would it be ok w/ that much power? Sorry if I'm annoying, I'm just trying to find this stuff out. Thanks for your time and all the info!

not anoying at all we are all new once and we enjoy helping. i personaly like the JBL power series i just bought a 300.1 jble powervalve and it is being shiped as we speak. very simple very potent amp. and would compliment your speakers nicely. only 110$ on ebay which is where i bought mine. hope this helps.

would that specific amp I mentioned work with the subs I mentioned??

anything under 350watts well work for your speakers it wouldnt be too much. give me a web site and i well tell you if that amp is worth it... alot of amp companies over rate there amps it may say 320 watts at 2 ohm but in reality it could be less. we suggest JBL and us acoustics because they give a true rating.

I saw that Profile 320watts x 1 @ 2 ohms in the Crutchfield magazine. So any amp that is under 350 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms will work? Does the x 1 after the wattage mean the number of channels??

yes the x1 or x2 or x4 means how many cahnnels...

What about if it says 100Wx 2 or 300Wx 1 some of the amps in the Crutchfield magazine say that. Does it mean it can be used as a one channel and/or 2 channel? If so are all 2 channels like that?

many 2 channel amps well be 100x2 at 4 ohms or 300x1 at 4 ohm. they can be turned into 1 channel by bridging the 2 channels into one. this is usualy done by taking the positive of one channel and the negitive from the other channel(dont bridge it this way unless your amp is bridgable and this is how it tells you to do it.) the problem here is you need a 2ohm stable amp into 1 channel a 2 channel amp would not only have the wrong omage in 1 channel mode but it would also draw more power from your battery and alternator. in general 2 channel amps have more downfalls then 1 channel amps when used for sub applications.

Thanks! you have been alot of help. I never knew that about 2 channel amps. I'm going to stick with 1 channels from now on. I just always thought I needed a two channel amp to power 2 subs. Thanks again!
