I recently just bought a box new at a flea market. The box has two American Legacy 500 watt subs in a bandpass box. I roughly spent about 70 bucks for them. They give a decent sound. They although hit pretty hard. Now I am considering changing the subs for two MA Audio 1000LX's and buying another 1000w JBL amp to power the extra wattage. I want to know if this will give me the extra bass i need to rattle cars around me.br

Before you start making amp and speaker choices you might want to investigate that box a little further.
1) What type of materials are used?
2) What is the material thickness?
3) Whats the internal Volume?
Those are the key ingredients for good enclosure performance.
The Thiel/Smallperameters of the sub you would like to use will dictate everything else.
Do a little investigative work on the box and let us know those things first.
