I'm trying to install an amp in the trunk of my 94 pontiac grand am se, and am having some trouble with the power wire. I ran the speaker wires down the passenger side no problem, but i can't figure out where to run the power wire through the firewall and into the driver side area. I've looked all around under the hood, and cant seem to find a place where other wires are running throuh (they're always the plastic 2 sided connectors, so no room to squeeze another wire in). I'm hesitent to drill a hole, because im sure there must be a place that im just not seeing. Does anybody know, and able to accurately describe the spot to me, or better yet post a picture? Appreciate it!! This seals ther wire and keeps it from rubbing metal. The first time you drill is always hard, after that you don't think twice about it. I have drilled probably throusands of holes now after the years and never had a problem. Just find a reference point on both sides of the firewall(like the steering wheel, hns's, ect) and then find the same point on the other. If you think it is close use a small bit and just be carefull, shine a light through the whole and you will know...... Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
