I recently just bought a prestige p-98 from one of my friends. I wired everything up and then plugged everything in and notice that nothing came on. The only thing that came on was the clock when the key was turned back to accesories. The clock would on come on only if you pushed the clock button. The clock would turn off after a couple of seconds and nothing would remain on. I tried all the buttons and only the clock worked. The only other function that worked was the cd deck. It would take the cd in but no sound. The cd never came up on the screen to show that it was playing. The cd came back out but i still need to figure out what is wrong with the player. Please Help!!!!!

I hate to sound dumb but, do you know if it (seen it for yourself) was working before you installed it?

it works, but for some reason now the display only shows the clock when pushed.

i have used a continuity tester on the connections and eveything is fine. I have also tried resetting the reciever numerous times. nothing works!!!!
