I actuall had 2 Pyramid amps and 2 Pyramid 18" subs back in the day(1986 or 87) and they really sounded awesome but I didnt have another "system" until this year.I didnt know one brand from another when I was ready to install my new "system". I was really shocked to learn tha Pyramid was actually a very cheap substitute to "Quality gear".

Have a read here: http://www.clubknowledge.com/Car_Audio_FAQ/?t11

I used a "1000 watt" Pyramid amp several years ago. I put the 1000 watts in quotes, as it is thier statement and definately not the truth.

It ran fine, but distorted easily and only put out about 50% of its rated power. But it did work.

I would NOT suggest spending money on any of the brands that you just mentioned. As you will most likely be disappointed in thier performance.

If $$ is an issue, then look into other budget oriented companies such as Profile, US Acoustics, Avionixx, Hifonics, JBL, MTX, SoundStream, and more.

But be very suspicious when you see "1000 WATTS!" or large #s in the stats. Someone's always looking for a sale, so companies will do what they can to dupe customers.

Hope that helps.

Check out, www.thezeb.com they usually have decent sales on quality equipment.

Have you come up with a general plan on what you want in this car? If you at least have a budget in mind, we can help you develop a plan of attack that works within your budget.

If you are planning on a large amp and sub system, take note of the Battery CCA rating and find out what ampere rating your ALT will put out. This car come in 4 and 6 cylinder models, so you may need the VIN # to find out what electricals are present in the car now.
