I got two 12" 500 watts max each Pioneer subs for Christmas but have not hooked them up yet. My question is what size amp should I get for them??? All I have right now is a 400 watt 2 channel Crossfire amp I used with my old 10" subs??? Please Help! Thanks They are TSW34C Pioneer 12" 500-watt subwoofers

first what model are these subs we need to know a model number to be able to help you. so we can know rms wattage, dual or single voice coil, and what omhage this particular sub is.

According to thezeb.com (http://www.thezeb.com/detail.aspx?ID=3233) these subs are 150warrs rms and 500max each. The site also says they have an impedance of 4ohms.
without a model number, I cant be sure what the specifics on your amp are, but if its a 2 channel and 400 watts, it probably puts out something like 200rms into each channel @ 4ohms. Check your manual to make sure. If that is the case, that amp should work fine for the Pioneer subs, just be careful when setting your gains.
