Hey my Alpine deck will sometimes turn off every once in a while, usually when im adjusting settings or volume with the knob. Is this a bad ground, or bad power or what? Im thinkin it might be a bad ground, just because I used the factory ground, which i kno is a nono but i got lazy on this install, it was only supposed to be temporary but 3 months later its permanent. PS: Its been doing this for 3 months i just got around to asking now. Replies (3) CrashMechanic on 04/17/2004 22:21:13 whats the model number on the HU. CrashUSFLAG swez on 04/18/2004 09:32:24 Yes, Model number please. Also, was the HU purchased new or is it an older model? If new, redo the ground wire and check you other power feed lines to HU harness to be sure they have proper voltage. Look for loose splices or poorly joined wires from OEM harness to Alpine adapter harness. Swez ttocs on 04/18/2004 10:15:23 I would guess it has something to do with the face. Try wiggling it around and see if it turns on or off, if it does clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
