i found some oz audio 4" components on ebay for a pretty good price, but the matching tweeters are missing, so i was wondering if i would be fine in buying some kappa tweeters to go along with the oz 4" speakers. would that sound okay? or do you need the tweets that are matched for the speakers. Replies (2) Swez on 05/14/2003 15:37:32 If these come with the crossovers, you'll want to know where the crossover point is for the tweeter. You may be able to get the matching tweets from Oz , but check out all your options, before you commit. Mix and matching Components is not the easiest thing to do. A little experimentation and possibly an L-pad or resistors (attenuator) to knock down a pair of "hot" tweeters (too loud) may help, if you run into this scenerio. Good luck, Swez xplicitblitzboi on 05/14/2003 17:50:35 hmmmm, the price went up too much in the last 30 minutes of the auction, i was told by some other people not to buy w/o the matching tweets anyways, so for now im just going to get some kappa 4x6 plates and some polk 6x9s, and possibly the USX-4065 to power them. shouldnt be too bad, especially compared to the stock speakers. my subs just overpower them too much. In the summer, my project is going to be to sound deaden the car and fit some 5.25s in the doors. should be pretty fun, i like workin on stuff like that.
