got a nice head unit one problem ****ty speakers so i was wondering if it possible to connect my speakers from my boom box to my car! the speakers have like red/black or (-+) wire outputs? i was thinking maybe of adding them temp to the rear of my car

well, for one, how big are the speakers in your boom box, what is the impedance on them, because some speakers have a pretty weird impedance. I dont see the point in this, because it will most likely sound worse than the speakers already in your car unless they are blown or you have some road gear stuff. Im not too knowledgable in innovation with car stereo. try swez or ttocs, buickman might kno too.
on a side note, I might get some oz audio components soon. cuz todays my birthday. sounds tyte, and it should be nice to fill in some of the highs on this car. Maybe it will finally match up to the CDT Cabria comps i got in the other car.... hehe. good stuff.

sure its possible, but why would you want too? unless its a really good boombox, it probably wouldnt sound that much better. for a while i had a friend that used a pair of DJ speakers in his car with a 500watt amp, was loud but sounded pretty crappy.
also make sure that the impedences match up, too low and u can ruin your HU, too high and you wont get alot of power.
If i were you i would look for some cheap speakers off of ebay...for rearfill you can find a pair of 6x9s that would sound better then a boombox for around $50 a pair

Think long term here... not a ghetto rig! If you have a few bucks set aside, you can get some decent speakers for your front & rear stage of car... if the HU is good, why waste the features with less than adequate speakers.
What kind of budget are you thinking here and what HU do you have now?
