I recently bought 2 sony xplod 12" subs, with a sony xplod 1000 watt 2 channel amp and a pioneer deck. i wired all of my stuff, and put the subs in a bandpass. i am getting some bass but not what i feel i should have. i can barely hear the pass from my seat, and i have read the deck manuel and adjusted all of the settings on the amp and cd player but i cant get bass without blaring music in my speakers. how much will an equalizer and capacitor help? what else should i do or what? thanx alot.

What Pioneer HU do you have? (model #)
What model # Sony amp do you have and what is the amp gain setting dial at now?
Which sub model aer these?
You say band pass enclosure?
Is this a Circuit City Party pack deal?
Who installed it all?

up early today swez....

If you have them wired out of phase you will get almost no bass. You can easily test this by disconnecting on speaker for a sec.

Yeah ttocs... pre-trip restlessness I guess.

By all means... try pulling one wire off 1 sub to amp. If the bass gets louder with only 1 sub, reverse the wires on one sub to amp, as they are out of phase and little bass will be present due to signal cancellations withing the box. Now, you should have some decent bass.
