i still did not get my question answered. will 600 rms get me heard or will it sound good Replies (3) uochronos on 03/22/2004 18:18:06 i have a 600watt rms phoenix gold amp on 2 10" alpine type R subs if my windows are down my wife says she can hear me quite a ways away... but if you really want to be heard i would suggest a higher wattage amp i'm moving to a 1200watt amp this summer that well get you heard from at least a block away with the right sub and box swez on 03/22/2004 21:48:06 Sure, a 600 RMS amp and a good sub setup will definitely get ya bumpin. Just be sure you match the sub(s), enclosure and amp so you get the full power out of what you use. This takes some careful planning to get it right the first time. Care to share what components you intend to use? (amp/subs) Model #'s and links are best for us techies to analyze the best way to put it all together. Swez ttocs on 03/23/2004 16:04:33 it depends... While 600 watts should be 600 watts, it is not.... Some companies will advertise a 600 watt amp that is only rated at half or less(RF just joined that club). If you have well rated amp that will put out a clean 600 watts, you will definitly be heard. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
