If you don't already know how to take the dash apart this site will teach you. It's somewhat tricky.

The HU is the most tricky part of most installs. Some Dodge units are Infinity systems with internal amps. So you may have some difficulties here too.

I believe there are adapter kits for Aftermnarket HU's and still use the Infinity system, but I do not know the specifics. Our Pro Installer "ttocs" will give you some ideas and options on this...

I would take it to a car audio shop (not radio shack or circuit city) and ask them what comes factory in your vehicle, and what type of harnesses you need for your install. They will be happy to tell you exactly what you need, and you can get the parts right then and there.
NOTE: most harnesses and kits are marked up significantly, if your total comes to $42.. offer them 30 or 35. Most small stereo shops will come down on their prices to make the sale. Corporations like the aforementioned ones can't.

Hey thank to everyone for responding. I have acually had lots of experience with car audio installation, but this is my first durango, if anyone has any words of wisdon of these cars, that would be great if you could tell me. If not then it will be another fun adventure in the gaurage.
Thanks

chrysler has enjoyed hiding the screws for the dash in the airvent in the last few years. I have not done a durango funny enough. Everyone around here has hummers..........
