Just wanted to share the joy...
The Diamond representative came by the shop today in the Diamond Denali.. All I can say is #@$%^#!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their setup is 2 pair of 6 1/2 hex components in the front doors, one pair in the back doors, and three 12" TDX subs in a ported box, each with its own 1200.1 D5 amplifier. Each pair of components had its own 300/2 D5 amplifier. They use Optima batteries, and a Pioneer HU. The bass was so deep I had trouble breathing, not to mention my nose was vibrating so much I sneezed three times in the 10 seconds he had it pumping. EXCELLENT sound quality, even through the earthquake the 12's produced, the mids and highs cut through with laser precision. Absolutely NO distortion whatsoever. The silk tweeters captured every high without hesitation or strain, and at a clean clear level, no harshness at all. I was in the install bay putting in a 15.4" screen and dvd player when they pulled up, and the Yukon I was in started to rattle like it had 2 12's in it. Car alarms went off across the 4 lane at the gas station, and the liquor store next door, and the windows in the shop sounded like they were about to fall out.
I doubt anyone will ever be able to convince me that there is a cleaner setup in existance.

Yep, a friend of ttocs and mine, is using 4 sets of 3 way Diamonds in his PT Cruiser, 4 Brahma 12's and a miriad of amps and processors. Same idea though... a real looker and boomer of notable proportions. I'm not sure how far he has progressed to date, but ttocs may have some comments here to fill in the gaps. The Pioneer HU and DSP are top of the line as well.

teal likes to do things a little over the top, this one will not fall short either. It must have been 5yrs ago that the diamond rep came into our shop and dropped off a pair of componants. we had the tweeters mounted with tape and barely holding on, but they blew us away. Nothing in the board came close and they were not the hex either...
I have a used 3 way hex setup with a few extra drivers I could consider parting with if anyone wanted them bad enough.....
