Heh what's happenin'? HAPPY I have wanted to become a stereo & alarm installer since right after I got out of high school and have had a lot of troublr getting my foot in the door. Could anyone give me any helpful advice on where I would need to go (I live in Tyler Tx.) or what I would need to do? This is something I would love to do and w/ paychecks OHHHH HAPPY that would be awesome! Thankyou...

I am 28, live in Tyler Texas, Have lived in Dallas Tx and got a job for 10 days as a installer in training but did not have a drivers license to go and pick up vehicles to be worked on. I drive a 1999 Chevy Cavalier, I have a Pioneer DEH P3500 CD player and 800 watt Pyramid PAB4200 amp just in case you needed to know...

Getting MECP certified would give you a great advantage in getting your foot in the door, plus a big jump in pay even just for starting off.

most of the time you have to work your way back to the bay. I started off in sales, as most installers did. If you prove you are a good salesmen and take interest in the shop, most of the time getting back there is not an issue. Most places will not take someone that has no experience, it is alot of risk...
