When you edited you deleted this. swez on 03/9/2004 19:12:21 If you have an Infinity system, there may be factory amps in there. You noted that. There are some tricks that you may be able to use to get these amps and speakers working. Ttocs is the guy who can answer that part best. Think there is a power feed needed to turn on the amps and you may need a special harness to get the mid/highs moving again. Let's see what ttocs has to say. Swez PS Did you have any interior speakers working after the Sony HU was installed? Jaqua17 on 03/9/2004 23:00:50 Sorry bout deleting that stuff. But heres everything i have jeep and when i got it, the jeep and a all crylser gold system. factory speakers head unit and amp. I replaced the head unit with the explode cd player, the factory speakers with orion cobalt kept the factory amp and thats runnig to my speakers, and then i bought a sony explode amp and 2 rockford fosgate 12's. when everything was hooked up i turned up the volume to a loud level and the words would cut out. The subs would still play normal and the cd player stayed on. but it doesnt do this all the time only certain occasions.. like if i just got in my car. but not it cuts out when im driving, and i think it does sound like a loose wire. but im not sure which wire that would be i re-checkd the wiring and didnt notice anything and now im stuck. thanks for any help ttocs on 03/10/2004 08:47:25 you need to bypass the factory amp. Infinity systems do not work well with, well anything... You should be able to get a bypass hrns that simply plugs in to the inputs, and the outputs so the deck amp pwrs the speakers. Amp is under the pass seat I think. The factory chrysler infinity is not at all as good as the infinity we can buy.... Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
