i know this isn't car audio, but i don't know anything about home audio. so i just thought i'll ask you guys. I got a sony 27" wega FD Trinitron for my room, and i wanted to get a system for my room, i watch movies and play video games mostly, i didn't want to spend over $1,000.00, so i was looking at the home package. i don't really know what one to buy. i just started looking, the one i looked at was sony HT-6600DP, but i didn't know if sony system were anygood. thanks

i just recently bought a new home audio system. i havnt really heard many good things about SOny recievers, but my neighbor has one and i like it, i bought a denon reciever and infinity speakers all around, im really happy with them, i compared them to the polk audio speakers all off the same price range and and specs, i think they sounded much better and alot fuller in the midbass area. you can find good deals on e-bay, just dont buy things that you dont need like a 7.1 surround system since i dont know if theres many or even any that recorded in that format, get either a 5.1 OR 6.1 reciever depending on what you want, 6.1 just adds either a rear center or a rear surround, go search the net make a list of things you like, then come back and tell us what you found, we can steer you in a right direction from their. good luck, if you have any questions just

I went looking today, i was looking at harman/kardon reciver AVR 230 and JBL ScS series- SCS160SI, what do you think about those?? i heared good thing about both of them, i haven't looked at any dvd players yet, because i was just going to use my xbox for a little bit intill i got more moeny. the link for the reciver is -
