i was looking at buying a optima batt.? good idea/bad idea ? not sure what color top i shouls get if its a good idea. little help Replies (1) Swez on 05/4/2003 21:25:56 Depends on what you really use this for. Yellow Top is good for accessory battery to power amps and audiio gear. It will start your car too... but the major advantage here, can discharge mat times and stillbe usefull. The RED TOP is more for primary car start application. A premium priced starter and main battery. Honestly, I hear thet NAPA offers a bettery like the Optima for much less. All you need do is figure out how much power (CCA) rating you need. The higher the CCA rating, the current you have available for power subs and extra gear. Most stock Bats are 450-600 CCA. A rating of 800 CCA or more is a great place to be for most moderate/high SPL systems. more ???'s just ask. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
