I'm trying to install a set of Kicker 3 ways' in a 2002 Ford crew cab truck. Has anyone been able to figure out how to get to the rear speakers? I can't figure out how to remove the rear panel behind the rear seat, as the seat belts bolt through it and it runs from the floor to the roof. Thanks for any help. Replies (2) uochronos on 02/21/2004 19:23:30 i have a 2003 ranger and all be it is a differnt set up the pannel for my rear speakers is held on soley by the seat belt bolt and those little push in plastic clips... i would suggest removing the seat belt bolt first. this takes a very large torqs driver if you dont have one you can pick on up at the local hardware store or sears for under 5$ usualy. once the seat belt is off simply lift around the edge of the pannel slowly you should be able to feel about where it is held down i first find all of the spots its held down at and mark them with masking tape. then i hear there is actualy a tool for removing the platic tab that are holding it but i persoanly just always use a screw driver or 2 wraped in cloth(an old rag) so as not to scratch anything. and apply gentle preasure to the area it should start to come lose. reapeat the all the way around the pannel until its lose then there are probaly going to be one or 2 of the tabs in the middle of the pannel these should be easier to remove by hand most likly. hope this helped. ram1 on 02/21/2004 23:14:38 Thanks, it does help a lot, and I went out and checked it out and it must be the same set-up as your truck. Getting dark so I had to give it up for today, but thanks for the help and now I can get those (paper junkers ) out of there.... Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
