what are you looking for advise on here just looking for some help choosing the system? if so then there are alot of great choices around.
for speakers there is
kicker
Resonant engineering
elemental designs
JL
just to name a few of my favorites
if you are looking for some good 10's at a good price check out elemental designs A series killer subs for a good price.
also for amps you may wish to check out Avionixx amps they are just amazingly priced top of the line stuff for factory direct prices.
www.avionixxusa.com
also if you want help choosing subs what are you going for? sound quality or Loud booming bass or both. once amp and subs are choosing we can defiantly help you threw the install.

once we know exactly what your going for we can help you find what you want then outline all the things you well need.

well if your just looking for loud bass with a some clarity the kicker subs and amp mentioned well do that. i'm still confused about what it is you want to know though. you seem set on the kicker amp and subs so mentioning other such as avionixx, jbl, elemental designs, and so on doesnt seem to be what your looking for. if your looking for advise on the install that should be realativly easy just a simple running of wires for the amp and then running the 2 subs together. there are several good wirign tuturials writen here.

i dont mean to frustrate you but i'am just having trouble figuring out what it is you want help with exactly. you say you want help choosing the system but you have the deck and speakers already and you are set on the sub and amp so i really dont know how to proceed with advise.

Chill Chronos...SMILE If I did not know this game so well, I too would not know what questions to ask either... "we don't know what we don't yet know right " ?

You seem pretty fixed on the Kicker system which is fine for SPL (LOUD) applications. One thing you don't know about Kicker subs... they need a large box to get loud. If you have the space... (4-5 cubic feet) of box space... Comp VR's are fine.

However, if you have a tight spot and only 3 cubic ft to work with... another sub vendor like Resonant Engineering, Adire, Infinity, Alpine Type R or E-Designs may be a better choice in all. This matters alot as many single cab PU's just have very limited space behind the seat.

Also, have to look at power needs for the amps you plan to use. This truck may have a pretty beefy ALT/BAT already. Do you know what the CCA RATING is on your BAT? Stock are generally 600 -750 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) rated.

Also, those 4x6" speakers... are these dash mounted? If that is all you have now, your system is very likely to be very bass heavy, poor mids and average highs. Adding a set of 6" midbass drivers would help alot. They can be door mounted or set in the rear. Amping them is a must as well. Taking this approach, you will have every chance of a loud and clean install.

Remeber this: A good system is 80% install knowledge and 20% gear. Get them both right the first time out, and you will be happy for years to come.

PS May I strongly recommend that you read some of the How to articles, FAQ's and other postings before you plunge ahead and buy. Would hate to see you spend a bundle and then not be satified with the outcome. We can help you impress your friends... not annoy them.

the 4x6 are dash mounted but i still have to get the panelling off the back so i can put my other pair in the back....

Good plan... the 4x6's are fine for mids/highs above say 150 Hz. Below that, they cannot take much power at low frequencies before breaking up. When choosing your rear speakers, consider a size large enough to handle 80 Hz and up well at power. This will fill in the gaps left from the 4x6's.

The other item to think about.. is how much low bass SPL you will use. The more deep bass SPL, the larger your amp will need to be, larger subs etc. Also, as you get past about 500 watts RMS (close to 140 dB), your truck may have a lot of rattles and vibrations to iron out. This takes a lot of time and is not cheap to deaden the panels that will drive you crazy in time.

These are all things to consider... before you buy and install your gear.

PS If you have not purchased your wiring set yet... RF is very expensive stuff as you are paying for that LOGO. There is a very high quality vendor that will meet all your hardware needs, at much better prices.
