How do I bridge a 4 ch amp into 2 speakers?

so far I have the outputs coming from my amp like so:
Front left positive, Front right negative connected to right speaker pos. and neg.

Rear left positive, Rear right negative connected to the left speaker pos. and neg.

I'm getting confused on which inputs (from HU) I am supposed to leave in.

I left them all in and when I turned the volume up past half way, my amp cut out and the OFFSET light came on.

This is the first time I tried bridging and the first time seeing that light come on.

sounds like the impedence was too low. Why are you wiring your left and right to the front and back? You soundstage will be the drivers window then.........

I thought that was the only way to wire it to bridge the 2 speakers.brbrCould I go from the front left pos to the rear left neg. for one speaker;brand front right pos to rear right neg for the other?br

I wouldn't try that. Most of the time when you bridge a 4channel amp you have to do is as you did the first time. make sure that you have the right bridge connections, and you know for sure that the amp is bridgeable.

How else would you do it, Scott?

ok sorry, you are right.. I had it backwards. I was thinking that you were bridging it with one speaker on the front, and one on the back...
