CDT's with a sony amp?

Hey, I've been thinking about buying some 6.5" CDT speakers, and I already have a 4 channel sony xplod amp that puts out 75W RMS from each channel.

I was wondering if this amp (being of a cheaper quality) would take away from the quality sound that the CDT's can produce?

Also since they rate this amp at 75wrms, and the CDTs are rated to take 90wrms, should I bridge the front and rear channels (I'm not using the amp for any rear speakers, and I think sony might over-rate their amps).

This would put 150wrms (or maybe less) to these speakers, but as long as I adjust the gain correctly, I should be fine.brbrI'm also just curiouse if these will fit in my 2000 dodge dakota.
Thanks,

The sony amp should be fine. Most 4 channel A/B amplifiers run around .015-.005%THD, They may overrate their power, but I don't think they alter the distortion ratings. This should bring out the CDTs like you want. As far as bridging, that should not be a problem either. I would make sure that all 4 channels are 75 each (some are 75x2, 100x2) And use let's say the front channels as right side and the back channels as left side. This will maintain your stereo sound as long as the RCAs are hooked up the same.
