I have been working on an install for a 93 RX-7, that is the third generation for those of you not in the know, and I am curious as to what to do with my front channel. I have a set of Boston Acoustic pro comp 5.25. The problem I have is that I cannot do kick panels because I don't want to move the ECU, and it will take too much leg room away. I was thinking using the door for the driver and the A pillar for the tweeter, but the car had a Bose system origionally making the door install very difficult. I was thinking of building a false floor, with the driver facing up, but I am not sure how that will sound, and I am not sure what to do with the tweets. Any Recomendations?

I always test wire all of the speakers with enough wire to move them around. Try different locations, and go with the one that sounds the best. Once installed it will change the sound slightly depending on what type of material you attach to, and how much airspace is behind the driver.
