I have a 97 Cavalie Z 24 and I had a car stereo professionally installed.I am a female that doesn't understand alot about "Car Stereos" . I don't really wanna spend alot more on this stupid stereo. I have a Sony head deck, Alpine speakers/ fron/rear, Eclipse Amp, and JL Audio Sub. I thought I could trust for a proper install. I got my car back and my lights don't work right, my car doesn't notify me when I leave my lights on,my Theft light stays on, sometimes the Theft light flahes an my car won't start. I heard that if you don't keep your original stock stereo in you car somehow it screws up the security system. What do I do? Please e-mail me and let me know -- angel_m_angel@yahoo.com

Sounds like a fuse problem!
The first place you look when you have electrical problems always check the fuses! During the install they may have dropped the battery cable making a spark and blowing out the fuses.
check the manuel for your car it will display where the fuses are. Open up the box and pull them out one by one checking each fuse to see if it is damaged.
Inside the fuce you should see a metal "rod" going "through it". If the rod is damaged (burnt/ blown/ doesn't connect) you need a new fuse. Make sure you replace it with the right type!
