i personaly like these amps this brand well be the next amp i buy...

http://www.avionixxusa.com/ep/axt_8002.htm

this one is a little powerfull but even with 400watts to each sub as long as they are in a sealed inclosure they well be fine if your not cranking the gain way up.

also if your going with a ported box this would be a good amp from the same company with a bit less power
http://www.avionixxusa.com/ep/axa_500M.htm

also phoenix gold has a 500watt tantrum series amp that would push those subs nicley it is 500watts at 12.6 voltws so when your car is running your really getting more then that.

The new JL amps have a regulated power supply that give you the same output from 1.5 - 4.0 ohm loads. They are not bad as far as price goes.
Zapco is a higher priced competition amp
Memphis amps are pretty good
JBL amps are really good and fairly low priced
Fosgate amps are an all time favorite

The biggest thing to look for is the voltage they are rated at. If a 1200w amp has one 20a fuse it is waay overrated (pyramid sapphire series) if it has 3x30amp fuses, you are in the right ballpark... The easiest way to figure out what you are getting is multiply 12(v) times the fuse rating. for example. an amp with three 20amp fuses (60amps total) times 12v (60x12=720) 720 is around what it will do max before it blows the fuse.

avionixx is the amp company that Elemental Designs suggests and ED subs are very high end so it would be silly to suggest a crappy amp. and the specs on the avionixx amps are almost identical to that of a Phoenix Gold titanium series. the main reason these amps are so cheap is the same reason ED subs are reasonably priced they sell them from the factory. that cuts overhead way down anytime the company that makes them is also selling them direct. get the spec sheet on a JBL, JL, Phoenix Gold, or rockford amp and compare them to the Avionixx they are equal or better then most for less money then almost any of the ones listed. with a 3 year warranty. which usualy if you buy online you dont get a warranty in alot of cases

Agreed, all amps noted are of very high quality. The only brand mentioned that is less that a great amp, is Rockford. The old RF amps were once the standard, but with all the new products in the market today, RF has slipped in all but 1 category... the price.

With the new RF series, you get that nifty logo on a case that looks like a George Foreman grill and the price per RMS watts is not all it could be.
