Hey guys! I was woundering if anyone here does stereo competitions. I was looking around on websites trying to find pictures of setups. I just wanted to see what the top SPL guys in the world had. Just for fun. Maybe you guys know some sites? Or Places or have pictures of you're own cars? it would be cool to see what everyone has setup. A really interesting question would also be What DOES SWEZ have? I mean he is definatly the wise man on the fourms. He knows tons of stuff devotes his time to help others but this is what he loves, you can tell because of his knowledge. What does he run in his car? I would be really interested to know. When I get my new setup I will post pictures for you guys! Concrete in certain parts of the vehicle and plexiglass windows and windshield. Not to mention tons of other modifications to keep the sound inside the car. ttocs on 01/13/2004 11:10:54 sounddomain.com Go to the members section and you can search for any car you want....... Buickman94 on 01/13/2004 13:58:56 I dont think many people on this forum compete. Check out the termpro forum if you wanna see SPL systems, www.tempro.com then click on forum to the left fitz1465 on 01/14/2004 00:08:11 SPL competitions are boring to me and just damage ear drums. it is rather comical though to see the guys jump up and down on the car and swing the doors open and shut to move more air. SPL vehicles are ugly and most don't look "pretty" they just make one loud sound until something blows. maybe this is just how i view SPL. i am much more into SQ plus i want to be able to hear for the next 20 years. those guys that push the 170dB range are INSANE. even if you are nearby at one of these competitions, it feels like something is chewing at your tympany (ear drum). i need to sleep. you guys rock. erikcooper on 01/14/2004 00:33:33 Yes SPL is definitely ugly and definitely boring. This is why most people end up happy with their SQ systems. Competition wise most Street "SPL" systems would only be SQ. I did see a nice looking Expedition earlier on one of the pages I was looking at. It had 24 15"s in the back and they were set up in a hexagon shape "circling" the entire back end of the vehicle. 6 rows with four in each row. If you want to see look here. http://www.streetdreams.com/install/ford/expedition1999a.html I am sure it would push some dbs. Probably not 170, but maybe. I didn;t want to take the time to see how much power those amps were pushing since it doesn't matter to much anyway. Munchiesyumm on 01/14/2004 02:26:12 yea I checked out www.sounddomain.com they have some pretty cool stuff on there. It made me jealous, I have a 1990 Chevy Lumina 2.5ltr 4 cylinder everyone else has the 3.1 and the sports packages.. oh well I still love my car. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
