the color codes on the stock decks are sometimes very difficult to understand. I am not exsactly sure where to look but as being that it is a 1982 you may want to rewire. Stock wiring is horrible to work with, it's cheap and brittle and definatly aged in this senerio if you have tried to make new splits in the wire you know what I mean.

The radio, power wire, and ground should be pretty distinct. The radio wiring should be a thick black wire which plugs right into the back of your deck no wires just a plug.

The power wire will most likely be red with ++++ signs or stripes usually seprate from the others. It's different in every manufacture.

The ground is usually always black and bundled with the power wiring.

So the options here would be to guess and check. Try to find the power wire first and see which one turns on the deck. Than you can plug one speaker in at a time to find out which is which and than lable it LF, RF, RL, RR to make things easier. It is time consuming but it gets the job done.

You may also rewire the whole system! I know tedius but if your into the SQ (Sound Quality) you may want to do this if it's possible in your car with out a huge hassle. You will notice there are plenty of places to hide the wire. Open the car door and you will see the plastic running board that can pop up thats what you could use to run the wire to the rear speakers. Depending where they are you can run them right up behind the seat into the back. For the front ones you can find holes in the dash board to take the wire up into the speaker holdings.

good luck!

any more questions I will be around!

before you go rewiring the whole thing you may want to make sure it needs it while some old cars wired may have gone brittle its not always the case. the wiring in my 1984 thunderbird worked just fine. i would say rewire it if you want killer quality or soemthing doesnt work but if you just are wiring in a cd player. dont fix it unless its broke has always been my theory. why spend like 5 extra hours wiring something if you wont notice a differnce. you can usualy find a diagram online or just go down to your local auto parts store and buy a chiltons manual for your car. a very very helpfull manual in general.
just doing a quick google search i found this site http://www.mobileinformationlabs.com/Wiring%20digrams.htm
this particular one costs 12$ for a diagram but i found it in like 30 seconds so i'm sure there is one on google for free.

I also looked up the cd player. It's not the best brand but it should work fine as a cd player/radio. So I would agree use the wiring thats already there unless it's broken. With that cd player you probably won't notice a difference.

Let me know of your progress. If you can't find any digrams you could go with my guess and check plan?

i would suggest an ohms meter for guess and check... not 100% neccisary but i have goten into some confusing problems guessing when i didnt know the car had a built in amp or some other little oddity... its best to have some sort of diagram or list to work off especialy if wiring decks is newer to you. in my same 84 tbird it took me 3 days to install what shyould have been a simple radio because i didnt know there was an amp so i just kept reguessing differnt wires and it would never work... and ended up tearign the whole dash apart just to angrily destroy the amp with a hamer:) so to avoid fits of rag a 15$ chilton manual or a site with a diagram would be helpful... i always like to go in prepared though maybe overly so.

here is what I have, although it is sometimes off. These omega books are good, but not perfect.

drivers pass
yellow + white front
blue/red - blue/blk
yellow/white + white/blue rear
blue/red - blue/black
