Well my friend has a 03 cavalier with the factory system and he wanted a new hu. So he bought one and the place also gave him this long wiring kit for $40 which lets him use the factory amp but he still has to have the factory sterio. We get it all hooked up adn nothin works. So he returns it and the wiring harness is bad. They say we hooked everything up wrong but if so y would they give him a new one of these things and install it for free? Also i hooked up his sub and amp and they told him they can tell him atleast 20 things that are wrong with the setup. I couldnt believe this hes had it running the way i hooked it up for over 2 months and i've installed 4 other systems plus mine with no problems. What a joke. They probably jsut wanted his money so he comes to them all the time to install crap.

Just like they sell everything in their stores for 200% - 300% over priced.
what else do you exspect from a dealer that does that? It was probably things like wire's were not connected how they would connect it thats good for what 4 things wrong. Just any stupid little thing they can, don't sweat it.
If you hook things up wrong usually the amp won't even turn on because of the saftey so I don't see how there could be 20 mistakes.

I would believe it.... I have seen many many systems that while they worked, needed more work to be complete and proper. I don't know if that is the case with you as I don't know you or your friend.
