Someone will catch it. About your Comps, they have passive crossovers already and all you really need to do here, is determine what the lowest frequency the midbass driver can handle with clean sound. Most drivers of this size are best to use HU HP filter crossover between 60-80 Hz. The tweeter already has its own "fixed" crossover point. So you don't have to do anything there. If you have subs, these can be LP filtered at the amp or the HU. Most guys prefer 75-100 Hz. A little playing with the HU features will help you determine what sounds best to you. I have been reading a bit on that i-personal memory preset down loads. Don't have any experience on how to use that feature to date, but if you read the users maual a while, am sure youcan get something useful from this feature. Are you using the HU amps to driver your interior speakers now? Am not sure if this model has that special #10 gage power feed line and ~27 watts RMS/channel. If yes, may be adequate power for all but the least efficient interior speakers. However, if less than 20 watts RMS/ch, to get the most from these Comps, an add on amp may be a good option on the future. (50-75 watts RMS will do nicely) Any more questions or comments? Swez |
