hey!

Nice to see you all again, I haven't had time to come on in a while with school.

I just purchased a new car SMILE it's a 1990 Chevy Lumina but unfortuneatly there are no speakers in it!

What are your favorite brands for speakers as far as High and MId SQ? I need some 4x6's for the front and 6x9's in the back. They will be powered by a standard head unit, the cheaper the better!

I will be moving my sub/amp/deck/wiring and buying a new installation kit for the new car, but I don't want to take out the other speakers.. They are the original stock speakers from 1989 PROUD and thats just rude to sell a car with no speakers!

nice to see you moved safely Swez!

Any oponions?

blaupunkts have good sound at low watts for a reasonable price, unfortunately, those are all I can vouch for.

I just bought a stack of Polk stuff. I got in on a closeout of EX separates from Crutchfield and they sound so kick-butt. My EX3550 seps are just driven by an 18wrms HU and sound very nicely rounded. Really good punch and crystal highs. Not sure what they're replacing the EX with.

I also have some Polk dB speaks that sound pretty good in my wifes car (but its a Tercel with more road noise than a go kart)

I'm really happy with eclipse stuff, too, but haven't bought any for several years.

alpine has made improvements that would let me consider them.
