Thought I would go off topic a little to see what everyone prefers. Please post your 'dream system' (within reason). Mine is as follows: total cost $3,500 HU...........Pioneer AVH P6500 DVD (xm, cd, mp3, dvd w/6.5"monitor) Other........7.2" celing swivel mount monitor. I've read a lot about them, but never heard em. Only thing I would change is getting better components, maybe the CDT Professional series, a surround sound amp or processor, and possibly putting the Audiobahn AWT34X in my bed instead of the AW1508Q :) DVD player and monitor of course but I plan to have that anyway. BIGJ11BB on 01/8/2004 14:50:07 I am planning this for the 10 years from now plan. I wanna get a pearl white escalade ext. Jack it up about 12inches put some 44" super swamper boggers on it with some 24inch spinners triple shocks on all four wheels. then the system as follows: pioneer avh-p7500dvd indash 7.5" screen with all the goods pioneer dvd changer cdt es 6.5inch components or the hd's cdt es 4inch components or hd's not sure if they make the es's in 4inch two 7" monitors for the headrests memphis 3004 amplifier to run the components 2 10" eclipse titaniums or adire audio brahma's under the rear seat and a memphis 1500bd pushing the subs maybe two if i get the brahma's Munchiesyumm on 01/13/2004 00:01:43 HEAD-UNIT - Alpine CDA-9815 $362.00 FRONT SPEAKERS - ACX462 4"x6" 2-way Full-Range Speakers $118.99 REAR SPEAKERS - ACX693 6"x9" 3-way Full-Range Speakers $186.99 AMP1 - AudioBahn A2301T 75x2 @ 4ohm - 210 watts RMS total $306.99 AMP2 - AudioBahn A2801T 200x2 # 4ohm - 460 watts RMS total $511.99 AMP3 - JBL A6000GTI 2600 Watts RMS x 2 channels at 4 ohms $6000 SUBS - TWO Eclipse SW9152Pro - 15" Titanium Pro Subwoofer $899.99 each 3,000watts RMS SubZoneEV-151 15" Vented 3/4" MDF Box for Eclipse sub w/ 1.5" Baffle - 3cf 18"h x 19 1/2"d x 29"w $159.99 KOLAK4 Complete 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit (2) $60 Audio Pipe PK-D4000P 4,000watt amp kit (1) $69 The price on this system is about 9,388.94 I think everyone is with me on this. This would be so loud, it would be illegal to have it probably. I would NEVER crank it all the way, my ears would bleed and I think I would die and plus my car would get destroyed. BUT It would be nice to say I have lol.. NO one can beat me in stereo competitons for two 15's I would cry. erikcooper on 01/13/2004 01:11:19 I wouldn;t say no one. It depends on which would be louder, those Eclipse, or the Audiobahn 3000w RMS 15s... Munchiesyumm on 01/13/2004 01:17:46 I bet the eclipses would do 185 DB getting 3,000 watts RMS each or if not the 15s the 18s they are rated the same RMS but the 18s has more air to push. the 3/4 MD box would fall apart but I couldn't find anything else. I need to look into concret boxes or something. erikcooper on 01/13/2004 09:44:57 Audiobahn has an 18 that does 4000w RMs and Kickers Solox 18 does 5000w RMS. cplkittle on 01/14/2004 15:53:48 I have a friend that just bought 4 13w7s. I have to build a box for when he gets his truck back from the shop. Think I am going to call JL to get their recommendations. He wants to cutout the back of the cab and extend the box into the bed, flush mounting the subs right below his back glass in a straight line. He should be pushing over 180dB when all is said and done. He is going all stinger/JL. stinger wires, batteries, alt, terminals, digital readout.. JL subs and amps. erikcooper on 01/14/2004 17:24:56 I am putting my stuff in the bed of my truck. Cutting a hole in the bed and the cab and putting a rubber grommet in place. Should be nice looking. I don't see him getting that many dbs though... Even when I see trucks and vans at the competitions they are pushing to get high 170s and that is with tons of subs, like 10 batteries minimum and with concrete and such in the panels.
