I would wire each speaker in series to 8 ohm, then together in parallel at 4 ohm to get the 800w. I think you will be happy with the results. One wire terminal is fine, what kind of box is it? also be careful when hooking up the DVCs, I fried one not too long ago because the little red dot was on the negative side of the voice coil terminal, and I didn't notice the small + and - stamp on the bottom of the terminal. nck59 on 12/17/2003 08:41:43 well im building the box for my 96 s10 reg cab 13hx51wx4tdx8.5bd should give me about 1.565 airspace which these subs need .75 to 1.00 also do u think i might need polyfill with as big as the box is going to be nck59 on 12/17/2003 08:44:19 oh ya it is sealed guess that helps to know lol cplkittle on 12/17/2003 09:36:20 polyfill will help reduce backwaves and standing waves which degrade the sound quality. Your Audiobahn speaker manual should have polyfill recommendations along with size requirements. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
