Another group that many have not heard of, but you may want to check them out if you dont care about understanding lyrics, the new Drunken Tiger(Korean Hip hop) cd is great for bass. please dont ever suggest kid rock, i condemn him for trying to redo american bad ass, he ruined it. but anyways, if you dont want rap, anything of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon CD is great for bass, also check out the song Nillson-Jump into the fire. as for other rock thats good for bass, korn and slipknot are always good.
if you want any other korean suggestions i could give you sum more, im into a lot of japanese and korean music, its good stuff.

OK, some of you may laugh at this one, but may Country songs have lots of deep bass for SQ systems. Shania Twain (feel Like a woman) come to mind, but many Country mixes have long, smooth bass passages.

May not be your cup of tea... but if you are into SQ bass, there ya go .

Some of the Jazz cuts I have listen too have some pretty nice bass tracks too.

Of coarse, Pink Floyd... The Wall, is full of interesting SQ tricks and ear candy... but this is more for SQ guys... not so much for big bass SPL fans.

Swez

pink floyd rules. Like i mentioned earlier, the Dark Side of the Moon album is the best, i love the track with the 20 hz heartbeat at the beginning, its great.

Anything by Ying Yang Twins for the Rap guy out there, they use allot of 808 Bass.

But for you Rock guy's out there and reference guy's.

Disturbed has some very nice kick drumming.

The new Linkin Park Meteora CD - Especially Song number 4

Rob Zombie is starting to add some lower bass to his music.

Metallica believe it or not has very good kick drumming and bass guitar.

Korn has some very nice bass guitar and kick drum as well.

Hey Blitz,

What is the name of that Pink Floyd song you were talking about track 20? Ive been looking for a song that had a heartbeat sound because its just so cool.

RTM

My List,

Much of Lenny Kravitz has hard hitting punchier bass. (some are actually good for SQ testing)

Anything by "DJ Magic Mike" as he is named the father of bass. Thats if you like old school music and beats. Careful as they really really may cause damage if you turn it up. Real low...

Reply Posted: 07/2/2003 01:00:05 by: av601

wouldnt techno give alot of bass out?? dunnoz about every1 but it seemz like itz constant bass mostly

Reply Posted: 07/2/2003 01:21:35 by: Relax_The_Mind

well there are many types of techno

Drum & Bass, Jungle, Hard Dance may be what most people here would be looking for. Trance may not be what you want but most every type of techno has a steady or progressive beat to it.

SPL Bass
Master P - Bourbons & 'Lacs
Sorry, it's rap, but it's by far the best song I've ever heard in any system. Even beats harder than 3-6 Mafia Late Nite Tip.

SQ Bass
Savage Garden - The Animal Song

Reply Posted: 07/2/2003 23:57:44 by: johndavid400

the two best bass songs that I have heard are : Superman - Eminem, and #1 Stunna - big tymers. Superman played on a W7 and a jbl 1200.1 will make your chest hurt..... literally it's quite euphoric.

K guys fill a rookie in on all this here. What exactly is the difference between SPL Bass and SQ Bass. I thought bass was bass?

-Mike-

Reply Posted: 07/24/2003 12:00:05 by: Pinch

SPL = Sound Pressure Level

SQ = Sound Quality

Basically it is the classic quantity vs. quality. SQ sounds cleaner, SPL is louder.

As for the Dark Side of the Moon track with the hearbeat, it's the first track on the CD (I think it's called Speak to Me/Breathe).

Finally, my addition to the Bass songs list.

Third Eye Blind - Misfits [Just drops!]
Tag Team - Whoomp! (There It Is) [Bass line hits a really low note]
Salt Tank - Eugina 2000 (Progressive Summer Mix)
[This is off of Oakenfold's Another World CD 2, and I would liken
the bass line to a stampeding heard of rabid African
Elephants]
Robert Miles - Separation [WEIRD song, but gets low]
Sublime - Steppin' Razor [Short, but the intro is really low]

95 South-Whoot there it is CD(whole thing-especially track 8 and 14, 14 has a very low rumble about 23Hz that I have yet to see anyone sit through entirely in my car:) it's kinda like tourture.

Magic Mike, Mix-a-lot(later albums=better bass lines), Techmaster PEB(one of my favorites)(I compete with a self created mix of the bass line from track on a PEB CD modified in soundforge set to ossillate between 50 and 60Hz)

if you like punch instead- Sammy Haggar-three lock box(punches HARD), Def Leppard-Photograph(track 2 on Vault), Luniz- I got five on it, Ice T- Midnight(personally my favorite rap song track 14 on OG if you have the system to get it loud enough this song is bad ass)
I've probably forgotten many but it's getting kinda long.

Reply Posted: 07/29/2003 22:32:41 by: Eiht

I shouldn't have to say it but I will, any of the competition bass music being suggested, i.e. it has a label on the front that says it will eat your speakers and go after your first born for dessert. HEED that warning don't distort the sh*t out of it in your bass tube cause you'll be buying a new one. Sure everyone knows, but wanna try to help the newbies that might bust their sh*t.

Hey there guys... getting a bit loose on the PG rating of this site. We can catch many common words and such... a bit much for the limits... F*** Authority is a bit past the limits. Mind changing that monicer a tad? Thanks!

Don't get me wrong... I felt the same way when I was younger and in some ways, still feel that way.... More like Question Authority regurlarly now and I bucked the system when it is not in the best interest of the average person... but there are more effective ways to stick Authority in butt... VOTE and become polictically aware of the goings on in your city, state and Washington.

I have been doing a lot more of this of late as I am fed up with the status quo we are forced to swallow... but there are better ways to fight the good fight against lousy laws etc.

I empathize with your frustrations... but keep it PG when you come here as we are all good guys to chat with. But being a bit older now, I see new ways to give respectful, but potent jabs to the folks that deserve it. Thanks a lot!

Swez

Just curious....... What CDS do all you installers prefer to test & tune when firing up a new system? Bass or Otherwise.

"My Disc" from sheffield sound labs is the most often used in our shop.

Reply Posted: 10/2/2003 23:33:33 by: TA2MYRIDE

As far as Bass tracks ...... Most I've heard from GZA is pretty damn bass heavy. ESPECIALLY "Beneath the surface." It's hard to turn the the bass down sometimes! "Liquid swords.....not so much, but a great cd anyway.

Reply Posted: 10/2/2003 23:39:03 by: TA2MYRIDE

THX WOOFER COOKER is a great track that can be found on kazza.....If you can find a good quality copy. Simply insane!

Also, has anyone come across a bass cd put out by SONY a couple of years ago? I heard it once and can't remember the name.
Urban "something" I want to say, but maybe not. All i can remember for certain is it had the big X-plode emblem on the disc, and that it paked a whollup as far as bass goes.

I've been looking ever since.

Almost any song by Chingy, most any by Lil Kim, and a great non rap album would be Candy-o by The Cars, late 70s

Hey i noticed that way back on this list Swez mentioned Country songs for hard good SQ bass. well this coming from somone who never before liked country till he got a decent system. there are some killer country songs out there for bass and the SQ on them is amazing.
Sawyer brown - six days on the road(cool intro till i got good tweets i never noticed its a diesil engine sound that is the intro. good steady clean bass threw the whole song)

Mongomery gentry- hell yeah

garth brooks- thunder rolls(could you get a cooler bass opening? rest of the song not so great. but i mean come on its thunder:)

arron tippen- big boy toys

arron tippen- kiss this

These songs all have reall cool clean crisp bass and some other cool sounds in them for the sq lover. there are alot more and i'm making a bass cd with just country when i get it done i well post it here.

Rock:
Van Halen: Hot for teacher. If your box is really well sealed it will keep up.

R&B:
Soul2Soul: Keep on Movin'
Sade: No ordinary love. Just try to keep a girl off your dik with two sealed 12s pumping this one out. It is sex in music.
Sade: Cherish the Day. Who needs a chiropractor? Its a good solid hard bass drum hit that peaks at about 90Hz. It makes rear view mirrors fall off windows and aching muscles feel great.

Jazz/Folk:
anything Yellowjackets. They use alot of mid bass which I use to identify the common weak points between the upper edge of the subs and the lower end of the mids. Often times there's a real hole in there, or at least a big SPL drop off that can be smoothed out.
Norah Jones: come away with me

Rap:
BG Prince of Rap. anybody remember him?
IceT: most of the OG album
House of Pain: Jump
NWA: if it ain't ruff it ain't me

Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
Speakerboxxx is an awesome CD, didn't care much for The Love Below, but respect and admire Outkast for independently recording their own cds, but selling them together in the same case. That is a prime example of marketing genius.

If you want a track that will almost blow ya head off try
Chemical Brothers- Bass tester
It has the effect of a 747 jumbo taking off and it sent bad vibes through me with the subs hooked up.
Also no one has posted MTX, they are a band dedicated to bass and they will almost wreck ya subs.
And also Bass Mekanik and Trick Daddy (my fav)
And if your still not shore try remixes of other songs the dj's who do them tend to put a bit to much bass on when recording.
Well hope this help's

Does anyone know some good country songs that have kick ass bass? Thanx for any help out there.

Reply Posted: 01/26/2004 18:34:31 by: Sylver

Ok, I've seen people list rap, rock, and even :shutters:: country....
Heres something for those who enjoy a mix of SPL and SQ, not every system is one or the other...
Download the Gladiator Theme Song, and the Gladiator Battle Scene song. Any of the other songs from Gladiator sounds almost orgasmic.....Lord of the Rings is another EXCELLENT source of songs that sound 100% BADASS with bass behind it....give it a try!!!!! LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKE IT!!!!

p.s. country is never good =P even with bass ;)

All of those have some good bass, but if you really want to slam some subs without all the lyrics; then checkout this web site:

www.IBPBASSCD.com

Very heavy bass tracks with ultra low material and good old fashion real scratchin & sampling. Some of the tracks by DJ Billy E and/or DJ Debonairre are straight-up raw. The best bass music I have collected so far.

Also checkout "Atomic NRG" by Dynamix II on the "You Hear It You Fear It" album. Str8 D-structive!

I've read the song lists here and I haven't seen some of the best BASS songs ever. Back in the late 80's and early 90's some of the best BASS songs were produced. Here's some of the examples.

DJ Magic Mike - Drop the BASS, and Feel the BASS
Nemesis
And any of the digital BASS songs from that era.

Listen to it.brbrAlso I forgot, Linkin Park - Nobody's ListeningbrThat's one from Meteora. Doesn't bump through the whole song, but it's got it's moments.br

Here are some excellent bass tracks if you're looking for something other than rap

Fear Factory - "Shock", "Demanufacture", "Byte Block"
Nine Inch Nails - "Just Like You Imagined", "Even Deeper", "Into The Void"
Prodigy - "Smack My Bitch Up", "Funky sh*t"
Static X - "Get To The Gone"
Aphex Twin - anything by them.. it doesn't "bump" but the bass and style of music is very unique

now i'll add a few good rap songs

Pastor Troy - "This Tha City"
Tear Da Club Up Thugs - "Smoked Out"
Lil Jon - "Bia Bia"

and my personal favorite
Three 6 Mafia - "Dangerous Posse"

- "Bass Rider" track sounds like "Knight Rider" theme,
- DJ Magic Mike and Techmaster PEB "Back in Black" (Remix of AC/DC song)
- Techmaster PEB - "006"
- Moloko, "Fun For Me"
- Most any Techmaster PEB and DJ Magic Mike CD, "20 Degrees Below Zero" CD by Mike is deep, most of them are deep.
- Remember Shai, "If I ever fall in lover", nices booms
- Digable Planets, "Cool like that" (guess that's the name of the song), not massive but some nice bass beats
- Coolio, "C U When U Get There", and the well known "Gangsta's Paradise"
- Crystal Method, "The Name of the Game"
- "Phantom of the Opera", the organ churns out some strong bass
- Digital Underground, "Sex Packets" CD
- Limp Bizkit, "Rollin' ", there are some remixes and there were two versions on their "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" CD, the "Air Raid Vehicle" version, and the "Urban Assault Vehicle", one version had DMX, Redman, and Method Man

Actually, many types of music have good bass tones, you just need good quality stereo equipment to reproduce it.

Whay not add some I got a few not sure if it is there proper names but They are designed to test you subwoofers

1. Beats & Drums E.P. - Tribal Crew
2. Bass - EXTREME SUBWOOFER TEST
3. Bass - Phat Subwoofer Test (be carefull with this one)

6. BOOTY-MUSIC-DJ Magic Mike - Drop The Bass
7. Car Audio THX Subwoofer Test - 3 Types Of Bass
8. DJ Magic Mike - Bass Test - Feel The Subwoofer Bass
9. Drums - african drumming
(Now I don't know the title of this one. it doesn't have like bass type because it is all percussion but some drums have a really low bass sounds and should do something special.)
10. Drums - African Percussion (same as # 9)
11. Effects THX - Crystal Nova P4X1582 ((surround sound) try this one for kicks))
12. Original DTS sounds (try it for kicks)
13. African- Water Drums- Journey Into Ambient Groove Phase 3

Anyhow I can go on forever these titles might seam very weird or strange truth be told I got this CD from a friend with these titles written on them so all I can say write them down and search for them.
You also can see that there is a hugh difference in music style, thats me I love music and constantly search for whats out there.
I listen to music from all corners of the world. And I tell you, You would be amazed at what you can find.
I understand if you're a young Hip-Hop Fan you don't Want to be cuaght listening to some big Hindy Music full blast or some African Beats. But Like I said Try it just to test out your System and trust my people won't say that it's uncool.
This gives you a chance for your system to test out new sounds in a way of speaking.

Anyhow this is my 5 cents. The rest is up to you good luck.

see ya

I cannot stress enough how fat the bass line is in

Chemical Brothers - Bass Test

It's this insane bass range drop and toward the end of the bass line if you have powerful enough subs it will feel like an earthquake!

I would definatly test it out if I were you!

Reply Posted: 07/1/2004 04:54:43 by: lopvin

hi folks
ok first off the chemical brothers song is called Music Response not bass test. one day a long long time ago some n00b called it Bass Test cos he didnt know the name of the song
go to my site www.lopvin.tk and click bass songs, and theres a long long list of hard hitting bass tracks.

Does anyone know any sad and moody rap songs, like
DMX - Slippin. Songs like that would be cool if anyone knows anymore. Cheers

hardest hitting song ever:

Kurupt - We Can Freak It

also, the song "Feel My Pain" by Fiend hits realllllly hard.

Reply Posted: 08/2/2004 01:41:38 by: Primo1080

some "sad and moody" rap songs are:

Outcast - Crumbling herb***
three 6 mafia - late night tip****
eminem - hail mary***
akon - locked up***

god......i have no idea how to spell that or if outcast is with a c or a k. damn im trippin. but anyway yeah they also beat pretty damn nice, give em a shot. i have it on a different cd labeled "chill" i hope this helps some man.

for a new really good song i suggest

lil wyte- crash da club

that song is really tight, it has a good mood to it and it beats like none other. in fact i would strongly suggest buying the cd to anybody. EVERY song beats and there all different too.

one last song that beats really hard, although its kinda fruity is
blaque - boom like i do
it beats pretty insane and its like my girls song so i can listen to it without being called gay (right guys!?!?!?!)
peace

you guys have some pretty good songs... I guess I'll get in on this. My fav and prolly some of the top songs in bass are: Twisted Heat- Twista and Drag-On(I just bought ryde or die vol.2 and it's pretty sweet in bass, at least half of it.) Late Night Tip-Three Six Mafia, One of my personal fav's, but I think it depends on what you got, Ghetto Musick-Outkast, and Finally my all-time fav. Throw It Up-Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz Feat. Pastor Troy. Get these songs you'll love them trust me.

Very interesting lists here. Most I have never heard of, but that's OK. Each Gen has their own chance to make a statement.

Maybe it's me being much older and all, but some of the song titles are really... uhmmm, errrr, dahhh... dark, sado-masochistic, a real downer or women are just bitches and whores. Not my cup of tea guys. is all and I am NOT downing any of your tastes either. Live and llearn to let live to a degree is a good motto.

Country music does have some excellent bass in them. S. Twain, (Feels like a Woman) is good, Lee Greenwood, (God bless the USA) is very inpiring, Alabama (Cruisin on the Boulavard) is good too.

Rock... I like Pink Floyd, Van Halen (Jump) and many hits by a guy called Carman. He is AWESOME and very talented singer, song writer and performer as well. All Christian based music with a real positive message, excellent vocals, horns, synth, bass and guitar. The drummers he uses are also top notch. Supurb SQ mixes on almost every cut of his many CD's. Rap, Rock, Country, Oldies, Gospel and several story book songs to boot. Check him out...

i personaly like "it came from outer bass" and "it came from outer bass II" its alot of bass and high frequencies it sounds good and is a wide spectrum of bass it really makes your system work. not alot of words but alot of cool music and sound.

this is a greta test cd for any system to see where your weak points are just because it is so diverse.

I've seen this same post tear other forums apart. Its funny b/c its the exact same stuff they were talking about that we're all talking about - not liking rap bass, liking rap bass, kid rock, blah blah blah, its all a bunch of garbage. People should'nt even care what other people like, and if they dont like seeing rap bass songs on the list, then they should list some rock songs themselves, instead of starting a 500 post arguement. Why cant we all just get along?!

Thanks to everyone who didnt post their opinions and simply posted songs instead of arguements, im lookin forward to trying all the posted songs in my new box!

These are some REAL bass songs. Not some bullcrap like "still fly" thats been said 1000 times yet only hits below 60Hz once in the whole song. Get ready for the bass song list REVIVAL.
Dont worry about any single one of these songs being a disappointment when you go to download them, other listings, people said songs had hard bass and the bass wasnt worth crap.
Most of these songs are pretty rare if you're downloading illegally, but they are findable. I recommend WinMX. They Rule.

No need to label the severity of the bass because all of these will slam in the 20-40Hz tuning range. ENJOY

Project Pat - Still Ridin' Clean
Project Pat - Take Da Charge
Project Pat - I'm MO
Project Pat - County Jail
Project Pat - Shut Ya Mouth, B***h
Project Pat - Smokin Out
Three 6 Mafia - Rainbow Colors
Three 6 Mafia - You Scared Pt. 2
Three 6 Mafia - Dangerous Posse
Three 6 Mafia - Late Night Tip
Lil Jon & Eastside Boys - Grand Finale
Lil Jon & Eastside Boys - Stop F***in Wit me
Lil Jon & Eastside Boys - What U Gon' Do
Lil Wayne - Birdman Jr.
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - Some Cut
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - Neva Eva
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - B***h N***az
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - No Problem
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - F.I.L.A.
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - Head Bussa
Hipnotek Track # 2 - This Is How We Ride
Crime Mobb - Stilettos
Jay-Z - Dirt off Your Shoulder

I heard the song Gasolina by Lil Jon on the Crunk Juice album, it pounds realy well on my system. I was wondering what are some other good spanish songs, or artists I should search for? Thanks

Reply Posted: 03/15/2005 18:13:38 by: 4G93CityBlaster

Well, "Cypress Hill - Tequila Sunrise" is another spanish ghetto type song and it always did the whole nice boom boom thing on my sub package (1x 15in, 1x 12in).
By the way, "BT- Never Gonna Come Back Down" isnt rap, and it does sound good on a tuned system. Great for highway/suburb speeding until you hit something and the neighbours call the police.

Bout the South by Prophet Posse.... such nice bass

Illusions is another good Cypress Hill song

I noticed some people wanted some spanish "reggaeton" songs that bumped so these are the ones i recommend.

1. Toby Toon - Menealo
2. Hector y Tito Feat Don Omar - Baila Morena
3. Ivy Queen - Pa la Cama
4. Ivy Queen & Don Omar - Yo Quiero Saber (this one will sound awesome!)
5. Jimmy Bad Boy - Bailando Pty Mix
6. Jimmy Bad Boy - Movimiento Sabroso
7. La Factoria - Todavia
8. la factoria - factoria- que me maten
9. Sean Paul - Punky (Espanol)
10. Toby Toon - La Lloradera

shady record's songs aren't very good because they don't hit good low notes, or because you don't like them, or because you like a "rival" record lable and judge everything that comes out of them before you hear it??????

I've heard a lot of songs produced by shady records that I like AND that hit pretty good as "bass songs".

We all have our oppinions though.

Well, if we are really gettin into good bass, then lets talk good bass.
best songs for constant bass are:
Petey Pablo - Vibrate
Ray Cash - Sex Appeal
Ol' Dirty Bastard - Got Your Money
Pretty Ricky - Grind With me
Eminem/DMX/Obi Trice - Go to sleep
Webbie/BunB(UGK) - Girls Give me That
Ciara - Oh (not as constant [and not exactly a favorite])

These are More Hitting than Constant ...
Chingy - Hes Herrre (best bass song I have *EVER* heard - no lie)
Black Rob - Like Woah
Young Gunz - Set it Off
Fabolous - On the Run (Breath Remix)
BoneThugs n Harmony - Mo Murda
3 6 Mafia - Gang Signs
Crime Mobb - Knuck If You Buck (good bass)

its 3:36, and i gota get up for work tomorrow ... if u like these songs or want more email me @ Smok3y@mail.com

Here are some of my favorites that I have yet to see listed.

Three 6 Mafia w/ Lil Jon - Da' Blow
Lil Scrappy & Trillville - Get Some Crunk In Yo System
Trillville, Crime Mob, & BME Click - Last Day Of School
Ying Yang Twins - Crank It Up
Yung Wun - Represent
Young Bloodz w/ Ludacris - Damn Remix
Lil Jon - Bia Bia
Lil Jon - Where Dem Girls At
UNLV - Booty Bop

Old School Rap/Hip Hop has some awesome and deep bass, some of my favorites here are:

LL Cool J - I'm Bad
LL Cool J - Going Back To Cali
Easy E - Boyz - N - The Hood (Remix)
NWA - Dope Man
NWA - Real G's
Dr Dre - Nuthin But A G Thing

There are many good bass songs, and many Remixes available on MP3. But when you talk bass, there is nothing better than a good low frequency sine sweep.....that is when you know you have some real SPL.

Insane Clown Posse - Walk into the Light, from the The Wraith - Shangri-La album is a good one, even if it sounds like an intro.
Also, the song Cotton Candy and Popsicles is a good one.
Public Enemy - House of the Rising Son, off the He Got Game soundtrack I think.
JD feat. P Diddy, Murphy Lee, and Snoop Dogg - Welcome to Atlanta (remix)
Lil Jon & The Eastside Boys - Bia' Bia'-Featuring Ludacris, Too Short, Big Kap And Chyna White - Put Yo Hood Up

Just a few that I found in my mp3's that have some good bass.

Mostly hard rock, hiphop and rap on this list so far. I'm an SQ guy into jazz, rock, fusion, world, Progressive instrumental, etc.

Here are a couple of oddballs.
Bela Fleck & Flecktones - Flight of the Cosmic Hippo - Low B string by Victor Wooten through the whole song.
Thievery Corporation - 38.45 (A Thievery number)
If you can find it, and you are into progressive instrumental stuff:
Bozzio, Levin, Stevens - Anything from the Black Light Syndrome album. It doesn't so much hit, as shake.

i know there have been techno and drum and bass added to the list but i failed to see "diesel boy" any of his albums will destroy your system, or make you wish there was an 11 on your volume, dj irene,dj tiesto, aww i could go on but look up system recordings and there is a miasma(big word ,huh?) of artists that will give you all the spl,sql you can handle. and i cant beleive as far as sql any high quality classical music(now i'm showin my age) will give you something to think about when you turn it up and probably have your neighbors wondering what happened to you. i say this cause if you have any hearing left and a good system you will hear things like the orchestra shifting in their chairs and muffled coughing.

The hardest bass Music I have ever hear in HISTORY, EVER....
would be (Mad Mark's) Bass From the Crypt!
This guy is from Bradenton FL. and made this CD for himself...
He released it to the public years & years back.....Whoever in this world has it or a copy is LUCKY!
I did manage to get a good CD before he quit sellin' them.
What he did was use it to push his 32" Sub in his Hurst....
He turned every Horror theme into Bass themes using the orginal sounds in the background.
Examples....Chucky,Tails From The Crypt,Freddy,Jason,Psycho,Halloween and many,many ,more....

If anyone wants more info on this let me know.....Or maybe I can mail out some copies to ppl who are SERIOUS!!!!
I'm almost %100 sure it (can't) be found even on limewire, kazza, or anywhere!!

Later
Tuknlugz

I would really be interested in hearing that CD Tuknlugz. Please e-mail me so we can arrange for a way for me to get it. :)

I do it big, so my list comes complete with a hyperlinks to download the song, please let me know what you think. :)

I saw Swez's Post about Country Music, so it'll top my list :

Merle Haggard - That's the Way Love Goes (Country)
http://home.comcast.net/~kulingar/mh_waylovegoes.mp3

Top Dollar - Top Dollar (Hip hop)
http://home.comcast.net/~kulingar/td_topdollar.mp3

Top Dollar - Intro (No lyrics, all music)
http://home.comcast.net/~kulingar/td_intro.jp3

Last but not least, no surprise it was mentioned. Anyone with Bass, that's proud they have bass, has this song... You know it..

Jibbs - King Kong

This song is AWESOME! Not just because it has awesome, punchy, HARD Bass, but because this is what most of us younger guns stereotype people our age and systems with. Excerpts from lyrics and I think you'll understand.

Chorus - "If you hear me before you see me, I got King Kong in the trunk!"

"The wheels look flat, trunk so heavy in the back. Got the speakers in the front, and they're sitting on my lap. Got the bumper to the ground, cause the trunk's weighing it down; they think it's a low rider when they come from out of town cause King Kong's in the trunk. When I'm rolling through your hood anybody can find me, cause they can hear me from the next block, cause I got King Kong in the trunk!"

Man, good to see this list so active............

Reply Posted: 07/8/2007 13:57:09 by: Sponsor of ClubKnowledge! swez Old Man Audio

Interesting... I flipped up Haggerd and Top Dollar.

TD has some pretty well juiced up bass and a good test of audio performance of any SQL system. This cut has a good mix of male/female voices, delicate synth and electronic drum kit in the mix. Then, we get some deep bass to show off the subs as well.

Hum, can't say much good about the "message" in this tune... (Materialism, all about the bling and look at my toys) Sad and the wrong message IMHO.

One reason I do like Country, it has a message that can touch the soul, relate to the everyday guy and speaks of passion from many points of the compass.

Alabama:
"Callin all Angles"
"My Girl"

Lee Greenwood:
"God Bless the USA"

Swez

King Kong is still a good bumpin track, personally i think the lyrics are poorly writtin, and both rappers dont have much skill, but some of those notes are pretty wicked.

...they defiantly do bump and i recommend getting them :)

Late Night Tip - Three Six Mafia
The Intro to Speakerboxxx
Bia Bia (bass remix) - Lil Jon
Superman - Eminem
Yes, any Group with BASS in it is guaranteed to bump.
Ying Yang Twins, 3 6 Mafia, Lil Wayne, Lil Whyte, DMX....they all have plenty of rap songs that have good BASS.

as for those people that wanted ROCK or METAL, there really are quite a few songs that have good bass, its just a matter of loud your system goes, now a days bands are becoming more into the BASS drums/guitars.

hope that was a semi good list.
